HBO Euphoria and The White Lotus and those of Netflix stranger things dominated the Creative Arts Emmys over the weekend, each taking home five technical awards ahead of the 74th Primetime Emmys later this month.
EuphoriaAmong the five wins for Colman Domingo, who won his first career Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series. CBS’ Adele: One night only and Disney+ The Beatles: Come Back also won five trophies, while Netflix Esoteric and squid game (who won Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama for Lee You-mi) picked up four wins each.
Other notable winners: Only murders in the buildingSeven-time Best Guest Actor in a Comedy nominee Nathan Lane won his first-ever Emmy; and hacks‘ Laurie Metcalf, now a four-time Emmy winner, won her first trophy since 1994.
An edited presentation of the Creative Arts Emmys will air Saturday, September 10 (8 p.m. ET/PT) on FXX. The main Emmys ceremony, hosted by SNLby Kenan Thompson, airing Monday, September 12 live on NBC.
