Recent comments from John Stamos to have Jamie Lee Curtis supporting the idea of bringing the actor into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In an August interview with Collider, Stamos suggested he would join the MCU “in a flash.” He noted that he is especially interested in that after he spoke the animated version of Iron Man on the kids show Spidey and his amazing friends.
To promote the release of Halloween endsCurtis appeared for a new interview on The Drew Barrymore Show. While discussing our MovieWeb article on Stamos’s comments, Curtis was asked by Barrymore what superpower she thinks she is scream queen co-star should have if he were to become a Marvel superhero. For her part, Curtis could only suggest that he play a “very handsome” character.
“Wow. Is there a really handsome Marvel character? Because John Stamos is just handsome. Are there any hot Marvels?”
Curtis praises Stamos for being so nice and warm behind the scenes, and he thinks it would make it even better if he played a more dastardly character rather than a superhero if he ever got the call from Marvel Studios.
“Then I’d make him mean. I think it would also be nice to turn it around and not make him…because he’s already a superhero. The truth is John is a superhero. He couldn’t get over it love life more He couldn’t love his kid anymore He loves being John I want (I want to see him be the bad guy) But I still wish he was a really hot bad guy Really mean.”
John Stamos voices Iron Man in an animated series
Today Stamos can be seen in a lead role in the Disney + series Great shot, though he also recently took on the role of a Marvel superhero. He provides the voice of Tony Stark, aka Iron Man, in Spidey and his amazing friends, who will make his debut in the role this year. By providing voiceover work for the cartoon, the actor gets his foot in the door, as it were, by getting on Marvel’s radar. Perhaps with the added endorsement of Jamie Lee Curtis, Kevin Feige may be inspired to make that phone call to Stamos soon.
As for Curtis, she previously made headlines by playfully poking fun at Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness while it was playing in the cinema next to her movie Everything Everywhere All at once. Curtis later told PEOPLE that she would “of course” make a Marvel movie if offered. Who knows, she might get the chance to reunite with Stamos in the MCU.
