Star couple Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan have been making headlines since they welcomed their twin boys. Days after announcing the arrival of babies, Tamil Nadu’s health minister Ma Subramanian said an investigation into the matter would be launched. As the case progresses, the latest development reveals that the couple has been married for the past six years.

Yes! You read it right. The reports claiming the same on the internet state that the couple has filed an affidavit with the Tamil Nadu health department. The speculated affidavit reveals that the surrogate the twins were born with is a relative of the actress, which is in accordance with the law.
The surrogate is said to be from Dubai and to handle the actress’s affairs in the country. Meanwhile, it also states that Nayanthara and Vignesh have registered their marriage for six years.
For the inexperienced, under the Surrogacy Act of India, any money exchange except medical expenses is prohibited. When the couple tied the knot four months ago before announcing the birth of their twins, it caught the attention of the authorities. While the proceedings are ongoing, neither Nayanthara nor Vignesh Shivan has issued a statement on the matter so far.
In the announcement post, Vignesh had written: “Nayan and I have become Amma & Appa / We are blessed with Twin Baby Boys / All our prayers, the blessings of our ancestors combined with all the good manifestations made came two years ago in the form of 2 blessed babies for us / Need all your blessings for our Uyir & Ulagam.
