An image from the set of Halloween ends gives a good idea of what Michael Myers looks like under the mask. Over the course of the previous two films, Michael had suffered heavy damage during his Halloween night bleeding at Haddonfield. That includes nearly dying in a fiery death trap that Laurie Strode left for him, along with a vicious blow at the hands of a violent mob.
Because Michael prefers to keep his mask on, we don’t really get a clear picture of the actor James Jude Courtney‘s face as the character in the movie. But a new photo posted to Instagram by Andi Matichak’s doppelgänger, Lydia Hand, reveals her with Courtney in full Michael Myers makeup. The photo was posted along with a short video clip of Hand with Matichak and another selfie of Hand.
“A trilogy wrap!!” Hand said in the post after the film was released. “So much fun and so many great people in this cast and crew I’ve met. Andi Matichak loves you so much and is so thankful for the past 4 years. You killed it!!”

Michael Myers vs. Laurie Strode: The Saga Comes to an End
Courtney may have been all smiles on set footage, but playing Michael Myers did require him to take his mind to some pretty dark places. While the actor and stuntman was thrilled to bring Michael Myers’ character to life in the past three films, he also recently shared Variety no matter how relieved he is to say goodbye to the franchise.
“It was powerful, and dark, and violent and erotic. And an insane liberation from all the things we were just talking about. Pain and suffering. Incredible liberation,” Courtney said.
There are currently no plans for more Halloween movies are being made, although it seems inevitable that there will be a reboot at some point. For now, this movie has been touted as the last movie starring Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode, bringing an end to the Michael vs. Laurie saga. But in the world of horror movies, it’s hard to know what the future holds. If the franchise is rebooted, or if a sequel or spin-off is made anyway, we could very well see Courtney under the mask again.
