Rumor has it that Black Panther will feature 2 different songs from Rihanna

A new rumor about the upcoming Black Panther: Wakanda Forever claims that multi-award-winning singer Rihanna recorded several songs for the MCU sequel. According to The New York Times writer Kyle Buchanan, “Rihanna is recording the end credits for BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER.”


While this is just a rumor at this point, Buchanan believes that Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Top Selling Artist’s song “If nothing else, this adds a major new Oscar contender to a race of original songs.”

Rihanna is now one of the greatest music artists of all time, selling over 250 million records worldwide. In fact, she is literally the second best selling female music artist of all time after hitting 14 number one and 31 top ten singles in the US. In recent years, Rihanna has been showered with accolades, including nine Grammy Awards, 13 American Music Awards, 12 Billboard Music Awards, six Guinness World Records and the NAACP’s President’s Award, and is considered one of the most influential celebrities in the world.

Rihanna hasn’t released solo music as a leading artist in a while, and no doubt a theme for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever would be a great boon to the MCU sequel.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Will introduce Namor to the MCU

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will see Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), Shuri (Letitia Wright), M’Baku (Winston Duke), Okoye (Danai Gurira), and the Dora Milaje (including Florence Kasumba) fight to protect their nation from intervening world powers in the aftermath of The Death of King T’Challa. As the Wakandans strive to embrace their next chapter, the heroes must team up with the help of War Dog Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) and Everett Ross (Martin Freeman) and blaze a new path for the kingdom of Wakanda.

The Black Panther sequel introduces Tenoch Huerta as Namor, the king of a hidden undersea nation. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige recently explained why Namor will be the perfect addition to the world of the MCU, saying, “How do you keep moving forward in the face of great loss and great tragedy, and in the face of a new threat, when the all you want to do is maybe hide from the world and work through your grief, and there comes a new, gigantic threat to face? Which, of course, is Namor.”

Directed by Ryan Coogler, who co-wrote the screenplay with Joe Robert Cole, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever stars Letitia Wright as Shuri, Lupita Nyong’o as Nakia, Danai Gurira as Okoye, Winston Duke as M’Baku, Florence Kasumba as Ayo, Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams aka Ironheart, Michaela Coel as Aneka, Tenoch Huerta as Namor, Martin Freeman as Everett K. Ross and Angela Bassett as Ramonda. In addition, the rest of the supporting cast includes Isaach de Bankolé, Dorothy Steel, Danny Sapani, Mabel Cadena, Alex Livinalli, Kamaru Usman and Richard Schiff.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is scheduled to be released in the United States on November 11, 2022, as the final film in Phase Four of the MCU.
