Trevor Noah Imagines a Police Show Inspired by ‘Call a Crackhead’ Republican Campaign Ad (Video)

Trevor Noah had a great response to a campaign ad run by right-wing Louisiana US Senator John Kennedy, and honestly it’s a show we’ll probably watch: CSI: Crack Smoking Investigators.

An advertisement Kennedy is currently running in his home state relies on his love and support for the police and that no one has done anything – defame the police. And at the end of the clip, Kennedy says, “If you hate cops just because they’re cops, the next time you’re in trouble, call a crackhead.”

Noah played this ad on Tuesday’s episode of “The Daily Show” during a run down of some weird campaign commercials and had a hard time believing what he saw.

“Okay. OK. First of all, no one is going to ‘call’ a crackhead. It’s 2022, I’m gonna text a crackhead,” joked Noah.

“The senator acting like the cop and the crackhead are the only two options. That’s it. What about social workers? What about mental health specialists? What about heroin addicts? There’s a whole series, people,” Noah continued.

“It’s even weird for a guy who’s been in office for 6 years complaining about a crime and then campaigning on it. I find it a little weird, like that,” Noah said before adopting a fake Southern accent. Said, “Since I got into the office, crime has exploded! Pick me up again so I can understand what’s going on.”

“I don’t know where this argument leads,” Noah said. “Because no matter what happens, Republicans always want more cops. Crime increases, we need more cops. Crime has gone down, we need more cops. Until we’re all cops, that’s all.” What’s the hiring plan?”

Then Noah had a good idea for the TV show: “Maybe the solution is to hire the crackhead cops. Yes, because first of all, they are always there when you need them. And say what you will about Crackhead vs Cop, but at least Crackhead won’t crack down on you. They are keeping it for themselves. Does it work. ,

“I know this might be a little crazy, but you have to admit a Crackhead Detective show? It sounds like a great idea for a CSI spinoff,” said Noah, who hinted a bit where he told that cop. Played the one.

“The victim is on the table, next to the flowers she bought for Valentine’s Day. I guess that means it’s time to go…” Noah said as he told a “CSI: Miami”-inspired joke. Donned sunglasses to set up, “Smoke some crack.”

There’s more—Noah saw some other commercials, and talked about many other topics. You can watch the full segment of “The Daily Show” in the link above — the stuff we’ve stressed comes in about 3 minutes.
