Gary Oldman’s Apple Series Returns

,slow horse“is back for its second season and better than ever, though things are not as simple as they seem when Slow House takes on a case that leader Jackson Lamb thinks is “very suspicious.”

After an ex-service agent dies with a mysterious note on his phone, “Cicada,” a nickname for Russian sleeper agents embedded in British society, the group sets out to unveil the secrets of the Cold War-era and catastrophe. To stop is back in action.

As the team begins to uncover the threat posed by the agents’ activation, Lamb warns these secrets “couldn’t have been hidden very well.”

“It sounds very suspicious,” Lamb said, “there’s more to it.”

Upon this revelation, Lamb is committed to a new approach: “Sometimes the only way to find out why a trap is set is to walk in it.” Quickly, they realize they have found a time bomb that threatens to destroy society as they know it and must address the “unfinished business” before it is too late.

Jeremy Loving will direct the second season, while Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Causeta, Ian Canning, Emil Sherman, Douglas Urbanski, Gail Mutrux, Will Smith and Graham Yost will serve as executive producers. “Slow Horse” is produced by See-Saw Films and adapted for television by Will Smith.

Oldman stars alongside Kristin Scott Thomas, Jack Lowden, Saskia Reeves, Rosalind Eleazar, Dustin Demary-Burns, Christopher Chung, Freddie Fox, Chris Reilly, Samuel West, Amy-Fionn Edwards, Kadiff Kirwan and Jonathan Pryce.
