In the first week of Bigg Boss 16, Sumbul Touqeer’s father had joined Salman Khan at Weekend Ka Vaar and lent an ear to Shalin Bhanot and Tina Datta for beating his daughter. He also advised Sumbul to recognize the people around her. Later, Sumbul apologized to Shalin for what her father had said to him. This annoyed netizens a lot. Now Sumbul’s father has reacted to the fact that his daughter went back to Shalin and Tina after he called them names.
He said that Sumbul obeyed what he told her. He added that Sumbul could have played the victim card, wreaking havoc in the house and winning the public’s sympathy. But she didn’t and handled the situation very nicely. “Basically, this is the nature of Sumbul. If she’d been yelling, making noise, or breaking things in the house, it wouldn’t have been possible for anyone (Tina and Shalin) to clear their booth,” he told News 18.
He further clarified that his goal was to erase the photo of Shalin and Tina in front of everyone to debunk the story of becoming a triangle, which could damage Sumbul’s image. “I succeeded. Sumbul took everything into consideration and did not cause havoc or screams in the house. I knew that Sumbul would handle this situation,” he added.
Sumbul is one of the popular participants of the show along with Shalin, Tina, Gautam Singh Vig, Shiv Thakare, Manya Singh, Soundarya Sharma, Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia, Abdu Rozik, Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, Ankit Gupta, MC Stan, Archana Gautam, Gori Nagori and Sajid Khan.
