Filmmaker SS Rajamouli is all set to premiere his blockbuster, RRR starring Ram Charan and Jr. NTR, in Japan. The filmmaker has recently been hosting several film screenings across the US to continue the buzz of the Oscars 2023. The filmmaker and the actors flew to Japan for the film’s highly anticipated premiere.

Rajamouli met video game creator Hideo Kojima in Japan. He shared a photo with Kojima, writing: “Delighted and honored to meet the legendary @Kojima_Hideo in Japan. I talked to him about video games, movies and much more… Will cherish these memories for a long time :).”

RRR will have two premieres in Tokyo on October 21 and 22. Ram Charan and Jr. NTR are already in Japan and have greeted fans. After the screenings, there will also be a few fan meetings and media interaction to keep up the buzz of the Oscars 2023. It will be week-long promotions where the team is expected to talk about the film, its success, the challenges during filming and more.
In the meantime, RRR was entered for the Academy Awards in multiple categories, including Best Picture, Best Director (SS Rajamouli), Best Actor for Ram Charan and Jr. NTR, Best Supporting Actor (Ajay Devgn), Best Supporting Actress (Alia Bhatt), Best Original Song for ‘Naatu Naatu’, Best Original Screenplay (SS Rajamouli, V. Vijayendra Prasad, Sai Madhav Burra). Best Original Score (MM Keeravaani), Best Film Editing (Sreekar Prasad), Best Sound, Best Cinematography, Best Production Design, Best Costume Design, Best Makeup and Hair Styling, and Best Visual Effects.
RRR is a multi-star action drama starring Jr. NTR, Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, and is among the most acclaimed Indian films of the year. The film brings together the best performances, action, artwork and visuals with a storyline that thoroughly entertained fans in India and around the world.
