‘I! News’ late night reboot to launch next month

Less than two years after the long-running entertainment news series was canceled, E! announced Thursday that “E! News” would return to the cable network’s programming lineup during a late night programming block next month.

Adrienne Bailon-Houghton and Justin Sylvester on the new “E! News,” which premieres on Nov. 14. Viewers may be familiar with Bailon-Houghton, the co-moderator of the now-defunct “The Real” and E!’s recently canceled series “Daily Pop.” Known as Kay Sylvester.

Veteran television producers John Redmayne and John Pascarella will executive-produce the new show, which will emphasize celebrity-friendly reporting and serve as a platform for personalities to connect with their fans.

“‘E! News’ has a long history of entertainment news excellence, and we’re excited to bring the show back and continue its legacy,” said Tracy Wilson, EVP of NBCUniversal Syndication Studios and E! News. news, said in a statement. “John Redmayne and John Pascarella are respected executive producers with strategic reputations, and Justin and Adrienne are charismatic, experienced hosts with a genuine interest in pop culture. This is the perfect team to reshape this franchise.”
