Liz Truss Was Butt — Or Maybe, Vegetable head – Trevor Noah joked on Thursday night after several jokes, when he resigned from his role as Britain’s prime minister, less than two months after taking the job. As the “The Daily Show” host put it, she didn’t even last as long as the parties thrown by her predecessor.

Truss resigned on Thursday morning, just 44 days after taking office following the resignation of Boris Johnson. Johnson stepped down after intense pressure to do so, based on the country’s handling of COVID and going against his own guidelines about social distancing during the pandemic. And Trevor couldn’t help comparing Noah Johnson’s alleged parties to Truss’s reign.

“God damn Britain, another prime minister? Another prime minister?” Noah scoffed. “And it only lasted 44 days. Boris Johnson had COVID parties that were longer than him.”

Noah listed the reasons behind Truss’s resignation, noting that, for the most part, it was based on his actual politics, not his extra-curricular activities.

“Remember, the reason Liz Truss lost her job is because she came into the office to make worse decisions than the company’s social media manager during Black History Month,” Noah joked. “Horrible budget plans, sacking finance ministers, backtracking from their policies, sending the queen to visit Jesus – things were going so badly that the British press trolled her with vegetables.”

“Right now, Britain’s parliament seems more chaotic than a family reunion at Herschel Walker’s home,” he joked.
