‘Morning Joe’: Scarborough Pulls Progressives on Crime in Cities as ‘Extraordinarily Clueless’: ‘It’s Maddening’ (VIDEO)

Focus groups of Democratic voters based out of Philadelphia have indicated that crime and security are a top concern in November’s midterm elections, reports MSNBC. And that network’s own “Morning Joe” co-host Joe Scarborough had something to say about it on Friday.

Railing over the city’s “wake DAs” who are “saying they don’t have a crime problem” and rampant progressives saying residents are exaggerating the truth of the city’s crime rate, Scarborough lamented that “progressives on crime in places like Philadelphia” and New York are so extraordinarily oblivious. This is insane. ,

Sitting down with a focus group of Philadelphia black voters, MSNBC correspondent Elise Jordan reported with footage aired on Friday’s “Morning Joe” that she “reported how much the participants felt about what they felt as crime increased.” Felt strongly, she was amazed by it.”

“And it’s also not just an assumption,” Jordan said. “You can see the numbers, specifically, in the city of Philadelphia.”

Cutting to footage of his sit-down with four voters of different ages and genders, Jordan asked the focus group: “Who thinks crime is potentially affecting you or your family is the biggest fear.” What are you facing now?” She received a unanimous response of “absolutely”.

“To me, it’s outrageous, the number of people being killed is the number of politicians who won’t pass civilian gun laws,” said one male participant. “And you know why this is happening because they are being paid to look the other way when it comes to passing gun laws. But we end up and our kids pay the price.”

“We still don’t know how we’re going to feel going home today, whether you’re driving or on public transportation, what’s going to happen,” said a female voter in the group.

With Scarborough and co-host Mika Brzezinski back in the studio, the “Morning Joe” team was clearly outraged by the group’s reaction.

“It’s dark,” said Brzezinski.

“It’s very disturbing, and we hear it everywhere,” Scarborough said. “We hear it from Philadelphia to New York to San Francisco.”

He then cited an Oklahoma debate earlier this week in which the Democratic nominee said there was more crime per capita there than in New York City, “and was actually laughed off stage despite it being so.”

“There is a massive crime wave, and, you know, yes it falls on both sides,” Scarborough said before digging into the Left’s shortcomings. “But when you wake up the DA in Philadelphia it’s basically saying they don’t have a crime problem, when you have cops leaving left and right in Philadelphia because … hit the street the next day. And then you have There are progressive people who are telling people in Philadelphia, saying to these people, ‘Oh, you’re wrong, don’t believe your lying eyes, don’t believe this fact–to be afraid to go to work. There’s something wrong with you. There’s something wrong with you being afraid to go home,’ as he was talking there.

“The progress on crime in places like Philadelphia and New York is so extraordinarily unintentional,” he concluded. “It’s crazy. And yet, you see it in these focus groups.”

Jordan concurred with Scarborough, saying that blinding is only condescending to the rise in crime in cities like Philadelphia.

“It’s condescending to tell those who feel threatened and are trying to live their lives to go to work in their day-to-day lives, that what they’re imagining isn’t really that bad. is,” she said. ,
