First issue of Vijay Deverakonda, Ananya Panday starrer highly anticipated movie liger (Saala Crossbreed), directed by popular Southern filmmaker Puri Jagannadh, will be released on July 11. Before that, they unveiled the song’s promo. Lijo George-Dj Chetas composed this punchy and energetic song.
Liger: Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday Go Full for Their Latest Song ‘Akdi Pakdi’
A source close to the film said: “Vijay’s lively dance moves will really stand out. He’s going to set the dance floor on fire with his flashy moves. The floor moment is a joy to watch. Ananya Pandey will really shine next to him. The song also has a catchy vibe. While the hook line is from Sunil Kashyap, Azeem Dayani is the music accompanist. The sets in the background are also quite vibrant and aesthetically pleasing. The promo has definitely raised the level of curiosity and the full track will be out in another three days.”
Dev Negi, Pawni Pandey and Lijo George sang the Hindi version of the song for which the lyrics were written by Mohsin Shaikh and Azeem Dayani. Choreography was done by Baba Bhaskar.
In Telugu, Anurag Kulkarni and Ramya Behara provided the vocals together, while Bhaskarabhatla Ravikumar provided the lyrics. Written by Sagar, the Tamil version of the song was sung by Sagar and Vaishnavi Kovvuri.
Vishnu Vardhan and Syama are the singers for the Malayalam version while the lyrics are by Siju Thuravoor. Santosh Venky and Sangeetha Ravichandranath sang the Kannada version of the song written by Varadaraj Chikkaballapura. Sagar is the music manager of the south.
In collaboration with Puri Connects, the film is jointly produced by Dharma Productions. Puri Jagannadh, Charmme Kaur, Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta jointly finance the film on a large scale. Vishnu Sarma is the cinematographer, while Thailand-based stunt director Kecha has come on board for the film.
Made in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages, liger is a pan-India movie. In addition to Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday, Ramya Krishnan, Ronit Roy, Vishu Reddy, Ali, Makarand Desh Pandey and Getup Srinu also play pivotal roles in the film. It is scheduled for release in theaters worldwide on August 25, 2022.
