Bigg Boss 16 viewers complained on social media that the entire Weekend Ka Vaar was somewhat devoted to the budding love story of Gautam Vig and Soundarya Sharma. The whole thing started with Manya Singh saying that Soundarya Sharma decided to stay with Gautam Vig after becoming a captain of the show. She said she is also close to MC Stan and Shalin Bhanot. Karan Johar asked Gautam Vig if he really felt anything for Soundarya Sharma or if it was for show. He said fans didn’t like this forced love angle, and they can play alone.
Karan Johar said it looked fake as one of them wore microphones when they went to the bathroom to have their private chats. But some viewers felt that Gautam Vig was unfairly called. They felt it was possible to promote Tina Datta and Shalin Bhanot, the second couple on the show after Ankit Gupta and Priyanka Chahar Choudhary. But Gauahar Khan is not impressed with how Gautam Vig was proclaimed by Karan Johar.

It remains to be seen how this affects the friendship of Gautam Vig and Soundarya Sharma. The actor plays a good game even when he is solo. Archana Gautam advised them to be solo on the show.
