Apple raises prices for Apple Music, Apple TV+ and Apple One

Apple on Monday announced that it is raising prices on its Apple TV+ and Apple Music subscription services as well as its Apple One bundle. This is the tech company’s first price hike in years and the first since the 2019 launch of Apple TV+.

Apple TV+ goes from $5 a month to $7 a month, while Apple Music is rising to $1 per individual account (which will now be $11 a month) and $2 for families.

Apple’s bundled service, Apple One, goes up from its previous monthly price of $14.95 to $16.95 per month.

An Apple spokesperson noted that Apple TV+ is now home to award-winning series, including “The Morning Show,” “Ted Lasso,” and “Severance,” and Best Picture winner “CODA,” “just a few shows and more.” After starting out with films.

It priced in music subscriptions to account for increased licensing costs and fees paid to artists and songwriters.

Rival streaming services Netflix and Disney+ also raised prices recently.
