Lost and guards writer Damon Lindelof is currently working on a Star Wars movie; it is now confirmed. More details of this mysterious Star Wars project have now been revealed, revealing that the project will ship after the events of the divisive Disney trilogy and is being planned as a standalone film with the potential to spawn further adventures.

Should these sources prove to be correct, Lindelof’s Star Wars film the first to be set outside of the Disney trilogy, which split the fanbase after the release of Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi and then divided again Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker hit the silver screen.

If Lindelof’s Star Wars film indeed returns to the world created in the Disney sequel trilogy, but not the Skywalker Saga, then this would suggest that the likes of Daisy Ridley’s Rey, John Boyega’s Finn and Oscar Isaac’s Poe Dameron will take center stage and make their own stories away of the legacy characters. Of course, they weren’t the only characters to be introduced to a galaxy far, far away (and some of the actors involved have stated they’re not interested in coming back for more), with Lindelof showing off a whole host of new faces and worlds to explore. to play with. If nothing else, hopefully it should be interesting to see what happened to the galaxy after the end of the Disney trilogy.
