Diwali is all about the company of loved ones where the focus is on spending time with family and that is exactly what Rajinikanth saw doing during the holiday season. The South megastar had a rather private party as he visited his daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth and also spent time with his grandsons, Lingaa and Yatra.

Aishwarya Rajinikanth took to Instagram to share photos from their Diwali celebration. While she was seen applying turmeric and red vermilion as part of a special ritual to her sons’ feet, the Thalaivar accompanied them as he stood and watched them complete the ritual. In the series of photos the filmmaker posted, she also shared a photo in which she sees cracking crackers burst and lights sparklers.
Fans were overjoyed to see the family together and dropped their Diwali wishes for the Thalaivar in the mail. “Periyavanuku apdiyae rajini facecut (eldest son looks exactly like Rajinikanth). “Thalaivar??. Thank you Aishwarya. Happy Deepavali to you and family. Send my wishes and prayers to Rajini, sir,” said one fan. “Happy diwali mom convey my wishes to rajini sir and to all the family,” added another fan.
Dhanush was absent from the celebrations, who is currently believed to be divorced from Aishwarya. While the couple announced their separation in January, it was rumored that the two are considering a reconciliation due to the future of their sons Lingaa and Yatra.
Coming to Rajinikanth’s professional commitments, Interestingly enough, his last release was in Diwali 2021, which was Annaathe. The actor returns to the big screen with Prison Guarddirected by Nelson Dilipkumar. In addition to him, the film also stars Kannada superstar Shivarajkumar and Ramya Krishnan, among others.
