Trevor Noah takes aim at Zuckerberg’s financial crisis

Trevor Noah took aim at Mark Zuckerberg’s stumbling block of personal wealth on Thursday’s episode of “The Daily Show,” mocking the loss in stature of Meta CEO due to the poor performance of the Metaverse.

This week, it was revealed that Zuckerberg has lost $95 billion in just one year and that Meta expects losses related to the Metaverse will continue to rise, with a loss of $9.4 billion on the Metaverse this year.

The Facebook CEO used to be the third richest person in the world, but now he’s down to 26 or 27, a fact Noah jumped on.

“26th or 27th richest person in the world? Disgusting,” said the “Daily Show” host. “What can you buy? Like everything else?” before adding, “If man was able to feel human emotions right now, he would be tense as hell.”

Noah then talked about how the activities of a less-rich-but-still-crazy-rich Zuckerberg might have been affected by his loss.

“Once you’re out of the top 10, you don’t get a chance to get into the VIP zone at the Illuminati orgy,” he joked. “You’re in the general entrance. Terrible view. You can’t even see the virgin goat being sacrificed.”

The “Daily Show” host — who is due to leave the Comedy Central series at the end of the year — then took a dig at the Metaverse, which has been the subject of derision since its launch.

“Before you feel sorry for Zuckerberg, remember that it’s not all bad for him. Yeah, he’s down to $95 billion in the real world. But in the metaverse, he’s still worth 10 trillion zuckbucks, oh Yes!”

Noah got in one final zinger in his segment as an outro:

“I’d say kudos to Mark. A lot of people have been talking about removing Big Tech for a while, but he’s the only person to have done that with his company.”
