He won’t say how or when they’ll return, but producer Nate Moore says Marvel fans haven’t seen the last of the Eternals.
It’s only a matter of time before we see more of the Eternals. While many, many Marvel movies are getting sequels soon, the future of Eternals is not entirely clear after the film’s release in theaters last year. It did well at the box office, although not at the level normally expected from big-budget Marvel movies, and it also received rather mixed reviews. That might make to move forward with Eternals 2 more of a gamble the studio won’t take.
Anyway, whether or not there’s a new feature film coming, we’ll probably see the titular superheroes reappear in the MCU one way or another. Producer Nate Moore addressed the status of the future of the Eternals in a new interview with: ComicBook.com which was published on Saturday. According to Moore, the Eternals shall somehow return to the MCU, but that’s all he’s really allowed to say about the situation at this point.
“I don’t want to spoil anything, but we haven’t seen the last of those characters,” Moore said boldly.
Is Eternals 2 Happening?
It may be that a sequel to Eternals is happening, but that the official announcement has not yet been made. In August, Eternals actor Patton Oswalt, who plays Pip the Troll, claimed that: Eternals 2 actually happened with Chloe Zhao coming back to direct. He made the statement on The Today Show while teasing that Pip might also be back with Starfox (Harry Styles).
“Harry Styles and I are in a little post-credit series in Eternals‘ said Oswalt. ‘I play Pip the Troll, he plays Starfox, Thanos’ brother. They have announced that there will be a Eternals sequel Chloe Zhao is going to direct it. So hopefully there will be more adventures from Starfox and Pip.”
Last year, Zhao also made it clear that she hopes to get the chance to direct another Eternals movie.
