Saturday night live released the search for Democratic Party presidential nominees for 2024 as a trailer for a horror film “from the producers of to smile and the twisted heads of morning joe.”
In it, a group of friends who are together in a house at night are horrified at the prospect of President Joe Biden running for re-election at the age of 81.
“Sometimes the familiar face can be the scariest,” says the voiceover.
The friends list some of Biden’s accomplishments until someone brings up his bike accident.
“I mean, I love the guy, but he did his part,” says one of them, played by Bowen Yang.
The group then goes through alternative candidates using classic horror film tropes – from Kamala Harris to Cory Booker, Pete Buttigieg, Beto O’Rourke, Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders.
