Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania star Kathryn Newton teased her role as Cassie Lang in the upcoming MCU sequel, calling the character “a bit of a mess.” Speak with Entertainment tonightNewton, who takes over the role of Cassie after the character’s brief appearance in Avengers: Endgame, suggests she’ll be a lot like her father, Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang, in that she doesn’t really have it all together and isn’t really prepared for all these superhero shenanigans.
“That I’m really not perfect and super impatient and I want to be a hero but I have no idea what I’m doing and I think Cassie Lang is like that. She’s just trying to figure out how to be a good person and “You know you make a lot of mistakes. She really is a mess, yes, and so am I. You’ll see some of that. Oh, my good heart.”
The recent trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania gave us our first idea of what to expect from the Marvel adventure. The footage shows Cassie Lang being dragged into the mysterious Quantum Realm along with her father and his friends, and even Cassie can be seen in her own superhero suit. Seen wearing a purple costume similar to her old man, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania Cassie will clearly find herself accompanying her father on his latest mission as she becomes the superhero Stature. Although she could also be called Stinger, or Ant-Girl, or Giant-Girl as she has had many names in the comics. For now, let’s say it’s Stature.
So, in addition to further exploration of the Quantum Realm, the introduction of new heroes and villains, and the continued adventures of Ant-Man and the Wasp, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania Cassie Lang will also follow her own arc as she grows up to become a hero and undoubtedly a great Marvel player.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania Will be the first outing in phase five of the MCU
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will officially kick off Phase Five of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and superhero partners Scott Lang and Hope Van Dyne return to continue their adventures as Ant-Man and the Wasp. Together with Hope’s parents Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne, the family discovers the Quantum Realm, encounters strange new creatures and embarks on an adventure that will take them beyond the limits of what they thought possible.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will also introduce the next major MCU antagonist in the form of Jonathan Majors as Kang the Conqueror. While he seems surprisingly friendly in the recent trailer, we already know the danger Kang poses thanks to his variant, Loki’s He Who Remains, with Kang all set to fight the Avengers in the coming Avengers: The Kang Dynasty in 2025.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is scheduled for release in the United States on February 17, 2023.
