Unseen is an experiential horror film that puts audiences in a Kafkaesque dilemma in which they wake up to a world of unknown horrors that they can only hear since they can no longer see.”

Set in 1970s Boston, Unseen follows a couple who wake up one day and discover they can’t see. They also soon discover that everyone else has been blinded as well. Their only hope is Ada, a woman who was once blind herself, but can now see again. However, they soon realize that something else is in the dark with them.

MOVIEWEB VIDEO OF THE DAY

Unseen is based on the audio only video game blind side, created by Aaron Rasmussen and Michael T. Astolfi, which simulated what it’s like to be blind. Instead of using their eyes, players must explore their surroundings using what they hear. According to Astolfi’s website, blind side won the Most Innovative Award at the 10th annual Games for Change Festival in 2013, was a finalist in IndieCade 2012 and was nominated for two awards from the 2012 Brazilian International Game Festival.

“As lifelong gamers, we’ve always wanted to have the opportunity to turn a video game into a feature film experience. Breaking new ground by exploring a thriller story within science fiction has allowed us to improve our story like never before. We are delighted that fans are seeing something completely new from us,” said the Soska sisters.
