The latest promo of Khatron Ke Khiladi 12 sees Mohit Malik in a very literal fight against 7 mighty lions to win his stunt. And the actor is very happy that he was allowed to do this stunt. Mohit says, “I’m sure Ekbir will enjoy watching the stunt because he likes lions.” During the actor’s week two stunt, he battled it out with mighty South African lions.
Khatron Ke Khiladi 12: Mohit Malik fights South African lions; says, “It was a man versus wild experience.”
Mohit recalled his stunt and revealed: “The lion stunt was clearly very scary. The South African lions are huge and very powerful and you have to be physically there to see it to believe it. But the whole experience of the stunt was amazing .” While trying to gather his emotions, Mohit added: “I literally don’t have the right words to express how I felt before, during and after the stunt. I don’t know if I can call it euphoric or whatever. “Can’t define the feeling. To complete the stunt and overcome the fear that comes with seeing those lions, that’s a feeling that will make you sleep peacefully at night.”
Ask him how he mentally prepared for the stunt and Mohit revealed, “I remember the moment before the stunt. I was meditating and calming myself. I love animals and being around them. And I have developed a mantra when doing stunts with animals – i believe ‘we are all one’ and i keep repeating this mantra and i did that for this stunt too i love animals i like to be with nature and believe really that we are all one. That’s the spiritual way to look at it.”
Before the stunt, Mohit was locked in a ball cage. He had to walk to the front of the cage and collect some stuff along the way. But the ‘Fear Factor’ in the stunt was huge South African lions. And the catch came in the form of huge chunks of meat hanging from the cage. Mohit says: “When 7 huge lions come running towards you, it feels unreal! They didn’t let me move an inch because of all the meat. And in the midst of all the struggle one of the lions managed to put its claw in the cage and I froze for at least 15 seconds he was unwilling to let go and i couldn’t move it was a man vs wild experience where i was fighting and asking him to let me go and he was not ready to let go I tried my best to move the ball cage, but the lions were mighty! It was indeed a sight to behold.”
But Mohit enjoyed the stunt. “The stunt had its special moments when I could look into their eyes. The eye contact definitely felt out of the world. And they are beautiful creatures and beautiful and I could stare at them all day long. During the shoot of the stunt, I was them just admiring the whole time. I literally couldn’t take my eyes off them. This was my first time seeing lions up close and they are beautiful and majestic animals,” he concluded.
Khatron Ke Khiladi 12 is hosted by Rohit Shetty and broadcast on the Colors TV channel. The show also features several other actors, influencers, and models, including Shivangi Joshi, Pratik Sehajpal, among others.
