American Music Awards: Winners List – 2022 AMAs Recap

The 2022 American Music Awards are officially underway, marking the show’s 50th year honoring fan-favorite artists and acts.

Broadcast live on ABC, this year’s AMAs are hosted by Wayne Brady of the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

Prior to the trophies, Bad Bunny led the pack with eight AMA nominations, including Entertainer of the Year. Beyoncé and Taylor Swift, the most nominated female artists this year, followed close behind with six nods, as did Drake.

A number of non-televised awards were handed out ahead of the 8/7c show’s official start time, including three for Swift and two for Beyoncé.

Of course, there was never a question about the recipient of this year’s Icon Award: Lionel Richie, now the second music legend to receive the honor; Rihanna won the first-ever Icon Award in 2012.
