It’s Like Him ‘Driving By McDonald’s Non-Stop’ (Video)

Elon Musk twice impeached former President Donald Trump’s Twitter account last week, despite the fact that Trump regularly used the platform to spread misinformation, as well as his followers during the January 6 attack on the Capitol. encouraged.

But apparently, Trump is avoiding a comeback, in a move that really threw Jimmy Fallon for a loop.

In fact, Trump hasn’t tweeted since his reinstatement. His last tweet is dated January 8, 2021, stating, “To all who have asked, I will not be attending the inauguration on January 20th.” Trump also hasn’t liked any of the tweets, confirming that the account remains inactive. And according to Trump, it’s going to stay that way.

“What? I’m stunned,” Fallon marveled during his monologue on Monday. “It’s like Trump driving by McDonald’s without stopping.”

Trump is choosing to remain on his own social media platform, Truth Social, despite complaining several times — along with many other conservative voices — that his exit from Twitter was not appropriate in the first place. But that argument at least made some sense to Fallon.

“He was like, ‘I’m sorry, I can’t be on two failing sites at once,'” the host joked.

Trump reinstated Musk after he put out a poll on his own Twitter account, asking people to vote on whether the subject of multiple criminal investigations should be allowed back. When the results were in favor with 52% voting against 48%, Musk tweeted an old saying that says the voice of the people is the voice of God, indicating that the decision was made based solely on the vote. .

Of course, before Musk finalized the deal to buy Twitter earlier this year, he indicated he would lift a permanent ban on Trump, calling it a “mistake”, “morally wrong” and “flat stupid.” Once the deal is done, the CEO said he would hold off on reinstatement of any large accounts until a special committee was formed to discuss and oversee it. No such committee appears to have been formed.
