The Masked Singer sends a contestant home: Snowstorm is…

Thanksgiving this week brought “The Masked Singer” another plate, as the show heads into its semifinals. The competitors for the night were Snowstorm, Harp and The Lambs. And sadly, after a strong run on the show it was Snowstorm who didn’t make it.

Snowstorm arrived at the show as a blizzard while singing Ariana Grande’s “Thank U, Next”. The singer made her debut on “Comedy Roast Night” and took some nice digs at host Nick Cannon, and how many kids she had. On stage next to him, she joked that “I’m afraid to get too close to you, I don’t want to get pregnant.”

The singer also snuck into her clue package at judge Nicole Scherzinger’s roast, dedicating her first performance to Nicole, her “favorite, fearless woman who has a more famous exes than this one.” [host] hole [Cannon] Baby has become Mama.

Among the night’s theme was the first time she appeared, her thorough roasting of Nick, and her clue package—which also included phrases like “took two years to see myself on screen,” which required a comedy set. There is a reference to “Stay Tight” – the judges correctly guessed that Snowstorm was a comedian.

But their initial guesses as to who specifically was under the mask were a little off base. Judges’ guesses include Whitney Cummings, Aubrey Plaza, Ilija Shlesinger, and even Kathryn Hahn. Meanwhile, some fans speculated that Snowstorm might have been professional singers like Ashlee Simpson and Kelly Rowland.

But in the end, she was actually a comedian: Comedy Central alum Nikki Glaser. That means Harp and the Lambs – who Ken Jeong clearly thinks are three of the Spice Girls – go through to the final next week.

“The Masked Singer” airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
