June Blair, The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet Actress, Dies at 90

Film and television actress June Blair, best known for starring in “The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet” with her real-life husband David Nelson, has passed away. She was 90 years old.

Blair died of natural causes on Monday in Sherman Oaks, California. His death was confirmed by his niece, Tracey Christine Nelson, in a facebook post,

Blair was born in San Francisco in 1932 and became a ward of the State of California after his parents abandoned him as a child. Blair grew up with a family of eight.

She made her first onscreen appearance in 1956 on CBS’s “Our Miss Brooks”. A year later, she became Playboy’s Playmate of the Month in January.

She married David Nelson in 1960 and, after appearing as other characters in the 60s sitcom “The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet”, as Mrs. June Nelson in the show’s Season 10 episode “The Newlyweds Get Settle” They were reintroduced as Blair would appear in 28 episodes and remain with the show until its 14th and final season in 1966.

Nelson and Blair divorced in 1975 and never remarried. Blair is survived by his two sons, Daniel and James, and his granddaughter.
