Ellen DeGeneres ‘Heartbroken’ On Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss’ Death: ‘I Will Miss Him’

Ellen DeGeneres posted a message online in honor of her friend’s death, Stephen “tWitch” boss. It was reported on Wednesday that Boss died by suicide at the age of 40. Many have expressed their shock and sadness on social media, and as someone who had a close relationship with Boss after working with him for many years on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the same can be said for her. She posted Instagram that she was “heartbroken” by the news as she put her thoughts on the family.


“I am devastated,” the message reads. “tWitch was pure love and light. He was my family and I loved him with all my heart. I will miss him. Please send your love and support to Allison and his beautiful children – Weslie, Maddox and Zaia.”

“Sending lots of love. He was such a nice person,” The office star Ellie Kemper wrote on the post, which garnered more than 2.8 million likes.

“So heartbreaking,” adds Olivia Munn.

Others in show business have also paid tribute. Yvette Nicole Brown separately tweeted, “What’s going on?! This news broke my heart. I’ve loved him ever since [So You Think You Can Dance]. He was always so cheerful and full of life. Always. Oh, Twitch!”

Former First Lady Michelle Obama also tweeted: “I was heartbroken to learn of the passing of Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss, whom I have come to know over the years through my Let’s Move! initiative and visits to The Ellen Show. My heart goes out to his wife, Allison, and his three children during this difficult time.”

tWitch is perhaps best known for having spent several years on it Ellenwhich included serving as a producer during the show’s final two years.
