Why fans of the Scream VI Teaser trailer are looking over their shoulder

In New York City, no one can hear you scream, especially in the new teaser trailer for Scream VI.

The scream series has been going on for a while. Most people can at least recognize the iconic Ghostface killer, but it’s a little hard to believe that the series started in the mid-90s by horror visionary Wes Craven is still consistently popular enough to deserve another sequel. The second to debut was so popular that the studio actually intentionally leaked false scripts to divert people from the path.

Just announced yes Scream VI which promises, “No one can hear you scream.” The poster advertised New York’s new setting with “new rules,” but we’re now watching the teaser trailer. Let’s see what makes it interesting.

The trailer opens with a classic shot of New York buildings, meaning the series moves locations from a small town called Woodsboro, CA, to the East Coast. This Ghostface killer must have had a blast following our main characters all the way to the Big Apple. This also means they do the classic horror move where you throw your character into a big city to see what happens that didn’t happen. historically popularto see Predator 2 and Friday the 13th: Part VIII Jason Takes Manhattan.

We then moved on to a favorite trailer of “things that happen with random people in the frame.” They are dressed in costumes and reek of cheap and easy kills to open the film. This is perhaps emphasized by how quickly the trailer pulls away from what they were laughing about. One of them probably hears a noise in an alley, decides to investigate, and it basically writes itself.

Then a subway train rolls right into the frame before more people can be seen in costumes crammed like sardines. So it looks like this one definitely takes place on Halloween alongside the New York setting, perhaps an example of the very popular Halloween reboots. There is a good variety of very well made Halloween masks such as a zombie, the Wolfman, a hidden Pinhead in the background and several Ghostface killer masks. Looks like it’s going to be pretty hard to find the right Ghostface killer with so many fans of his identical masks on the subway. They could very well play out this mystery later in the movie with the real killer hidden in plain sight.

The new cast is back and in trouble

The main cast of the latter film has returned as both the popular Tara and Sam Carpenter are reprized by Jenna Ortega and Melissa Barrera, respectively. They both look very nervous as they realize the danger they are in from all the would-be killers they are on the train with. The suspense builds as the lights flicker on and off as the Ghostface killer moves forward at any moment.

The victim here eventually becomes Jasmin Savoy Brown as the Ghostface killer corners her and covers up her scream before a cutting sound effect plays. While things may look bleak for her right now, it could very well be a prankster who laughs at her expense, as she was one of the central characters from scream (the fifth). It seems unlikely that her death would be given away in a teaser trailer with this in mind, but she may not be safe by the time the credits roll.

After her supposed death, the trailer cuts away to a title card revealing stylized as scream before a cutting sound drains the blood in the broken letter M to appear as a Roman numeral VI. The last piece of information given is the March 10, 2023 release date, making it just a little late for February’s horror club. No final tease for this one, just waiting for a longer trailer to set up more of the surrounding story.

It is worth noting that this one is mentioned Scream VIafter Scream 5 became righteous scream since the studio also seems to be following the very popular trend of simply calling your movie its original title. That said, horror movie titles are often laughable Friday the 13th Part 4: The Final Chapter not only not be the last chapter, but not even the last movie in the series with the word “final” in the title.

This next title promises to be the bloodiest entry in the franchise, something to look forward to. If one really wants to prepare for the next in the series, perhaps the best movie is to rent the actual cabin that was used for Scream 3 on Airbnb.
