Republican congressman-elect and serial liar George Santos did himself no favors Tuesday when he appeared on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” for what he apparently expected would be a softball interview from a friendly media outlet.
But instead of supporting Fox News, Santos was grilled like a rainbow trout by guest host Tulsi Gabbard about the many lies she told about her background and personal life, to the point that by the time she finished the interview, Till he was almost starting to sob.
And during the painful 6-minute interview, he attempted to deflect all that criticism by telling more lies, outright lies, and even insulting voters. Not really.

Of course, you also know Santos’ name, since it was only after he was elected to the US House of Representatives from New York’s 3rd District in November that many, many lies exposed,
He lied about his work history, falsely claiming that he worked for Citibank and Goldman Sachs as an investor and financier (both companies have no records of him). He lied about his education (he didn’t go to New York University or Baruch College).
Intriguingly, he claimed that his maternal grandfather was a Ukrainian Jew who not only ‘fled’ the Soviet Union but also survived the Holocaust before moving to Brazil, and repeatedly described himself as “an American Jew” and Jewish. Made, all claims that have been proven false.

Santos already tried and failed to shake it all off with an embarrassing series of interviews on Monday where, among other things, he lied that he never said he was Jewish, He only said he was “Jew-ish”.,
So on Tuesday, as you can see in the video above, Santos didn’t make things right. It was a whole lot of embarrassment in 6 minutes.
For example, at one point, clearly irritated by Santos’ apparent dishonesty, Gabbard asked him “Don’t you have any shame?” Santos responded with whataboutist attacks on the Democrats, something Gabbard quickly shut down.
Santos also reiterated his now proven false claims of Jewish ancestry.
But things got really awkward in the final minutes of the interview, while Clearly Attempting to push BS his way through the defense of his false claims about his financial background, he not only lied more, but effectively called his own voters idiots.
Gabbard said of Santos’ claims about working in the financial industry, “These are blatant lies,” and questioned how your constituents and the American people can believe anything you tell the House. Santos said, “Well, look, and I, I agree with what you’re saying and as I said and I continue, we can debate my resumes and I’ve worked with firms like Goldman and Citigroup.” How did it work?”

It’s debatable, and I could sit down and explain it to you,” Santos launched into a string of finance industry buzzwords. before answering, “What you can do in private equity, in capital, through serving limited partners and general partners, and we can. This discussion is going to go way above the heads of the American people, but it That’s not what I campaigned on. I campaigned to deliver results for the American people—”
“Wow,” Gabbard interjected.
“By reducing inflation. I can sit down if you want to have that discussion. I’d be happy, Basil, to explain it to you,” Santos said.
“Congressman,” Gabbard said.
Santos said, “We, we settled the score.”

Gabbard ended the interview with a poignant summary referring to the people who voted for Santos. “It’s hard to imagine how they can trust your explanation when you really aren’t ready to admit the depth of your deception.”
Ouch.
