Brahmastra brings real-life couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt together on the big screen for the first time. The expectant parents-couple, enjoying an amazing high in their personal and professional lives, are gearing up for the film’s release and released the first track of the film today, July 17. the couple and the filmmaker have not only talked about the song, but have also shared the close bond and connection they have with this song in a series of videos.

Ranbir Kapoor said of the song that gained huge popularity with just a teaser: “The freshness of the song resonated very well with the audience. I want to thank the whole team for making a song that touched countless hearts and I’m sure that audiences will cherish the warm experience of the full song.”
Alia Bhatt added: “For me, Kesariya is a feeling one experiences when one is happy and satisfied with something. It was the first glimpse of Brahmastra part one: Shiva and it holds a special place for me and the whole crew. The song pulls me in every time I listen to it, and I’m sure it will touch the hearts of the audience.”
Director Ayan Mukerji said: “Working with Pritam Da, Arijit, Amitabh Bhattacharya and the whole team at Kesariya was a memorable experience. Pritam Da has always been able to save the best for me ever since Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. I’m personally very excited about all the versions – Arijit Singh, Sid Sriram, Sanjith Hegde and Hesham Abdul Wahab, they have rendered it all so beautifully and soulful, which can be seen in all versions.” Ayan added: “We all love the sizzling chemistry of Ranbir and Alia in the song, hinting at the strong bond they share. Fans around the world have celebrated Ranbir-Alia’s love through the teaser, and I’m sure the full track will exceed everyone’s expectations.”
The romantic song is sung in Hindi by none other than Arijit Singh and composed by Pritam. With lyrics written by Amitabh Bhattacharya, the team describes it as a timeless romantic song with a vibrant and colorful background. The song is choreographed by Ganesh Acharya.
Directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Dharma Productions, Brahmastra will hit the big screens on September 30. Also starring Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy and Nagarjuna, the film will be released in multiple languages.
