He declined to disclose the amount because he thinks Virat Kohli may take offense. He said Virat Kohli’s team also said Anushka Sharma would come as part of the package deal.
It seems that the agency or person had quoted a huge amount. Ashneer Grover says he told the person not to sell sherwanis like the famous Manyavaar brand. He said it was done by them before. When the agency said no other player was worth it, Ashneer Grover gave him an idea. He told him to divide the price for Virat Kohli by two and get 11 players for half the amount. Instead of the captain, he went for half the amount for 11 other players.
This is not all. It seems that he even told the story to Virat Kohli. It seems the captain was not upset knowing that Ashneer Grover rejected the proposal and instead got 11 other players for the campaign.
