EXCLUSIVE: Here’s a first look at the Hindi language dubbing of Achandaone of the highest grossing Telugu movies of 2021/2022.
The action film from producers Dr. Pen Studios’ Jayantilal Gada and Sajid Qureshi and director Boyapati Srinu is due out in Hindi on January 20th.
After debuting in December 2021, it cost £120.8 million (US$14.6 million) at the box office, making it the biggest film starring Nandamuri Balakrishna to date. Achanda was also a hit on Disney+ Hotstar.
Achanda Stars Balakrishna in a dueling role as the twins, one a fierce supporter of Lord Shiva who was originally a twin who was snatched from his family as a baby and later battles evildoers. Producers say it weaves “a historical story” into the plot. Pragya Jaiswal, Jagapathi Babu and Srikanth also star.
The film marked the third time Balakrishna has worked with Srinu after 2010 Simple and 2014s Legend.
Gada said, “If the last year has taught us anything, it’s that audiences crave mass entertainers and visual spectacles that are theatre-worthy. We believe Achanda is a film that will find audiences in different language markets and resonate across India given the fan base of Nandamuri Balakrishna and the high quality action and entertainment the film offers.”
