To continue its popularity, Melbourne’s Indian Film Festival has invited Samantha as one of the main guests for their 2022 festival, which is returning physically after a two-year hiatus due to pandemic restrictions.

At the festival starting on August 12, Samantha will meet her fans in the capital of the Victorian state in Australia. Hundreds of her fans and ardent enthusiasts of her work are expected to gather and Samantha will also be giving a special on August 13 in a live audience conversation about her career and trajectory.
Speaking about this, Samantha said: “Last year, although I was a virtual part of IFFM, I felt the energy and atmosphere through the enthusiasm of all the participants. Now that the world opens up and gets the chance to travel to Australia to be a part of it personally to experience that energy first-hand is something I look forward to. It is an exciting feeling to celebrate Indian cinema, in all its diversity, with communities of both Indians and film buffs together.”
Mitu Bhowmick Lange, the festival director, added: “Samantha has such an avid fan following here in Australia. Her fans are eagerly waiting for her to be part of IFFM and celebrate her and her work at this year’s festival. She is such a versatile actor and has found such impeccable respect among her fans for her work.”
