Jared Jefferies goes nuts after winning The Price Is Right car

Jarred Jefferies, a former longtime NBA veteran for whom the Indiana Hoosiers played 2002 National Championshipknows how to celebrate.

Jefferies made over $40 million in 11 NBA seasons, so he also knows how to crunch some numbers.

Good thing, because on Monday Jefferies appeared on “The Price Is Right” and was tasked with estimating the true price of the new Toyota Corolla. If his efforts were successful, he would win that car, although it was not confirmed whether the 6-foot-11 former power forward could still fit in it.

But Jefferies gave it the ol’ college tryout anyway.

After claiming the winning bid on Contestants Row, Jefferies quickly took the stage with show host Drew Carey and played “One Away”. To his good fortune, Jeffries then picked four out of five numbers correctly, meaning he only needed to get one number correct.

“If it’s a red seven coming up, you’ve won,” said Carey. “Let’s see a red seven, please.”

And sure enough Jefferies saw it — winning with $22,376 — before he screamed and let loose like it was LeBron James winning the NBA Finals.

“What a great win to start this show with!” Carrie added. “way to go!”

The victory gave Jeffries an opportunity to advance to the Final Showcase. but former nba legend Members of the Washington Wizards, New York Knicks, Houston Rockets and Portland Trail Blazers lost the Showcase Showdown when another contestant earned 95 cents.
