Animaniac’s season 3 trailer teases one last round of hijinks

Hulu has dropped the trailer for the third and final season of the Animaniacs reboot.

The new season of Animations has finally arrived, and a new trailer gives a taste of what’s to come. It’s a bit of a wait for the new episodes, as season 2 will end at the end of 2021. After more than a year, the new season will arrive on February 17. You can watch the trailer below.

While fans may be happy about new episodes, the trailer confirms that too Animations concludes with this third and final season on Hulu. But the Warners seem to be going out with a bang, with the teaser showing no shortage of the totally insane hijinx the series has long been known for. Of course, Pinky and the Brain are also there for their latest attempts to finally conquer the world.

Hulu’s official description of the final season reads:

Yakko, Wakko, and Dot return with an all-new season filled with laughs, songs, pop culture parodies, and enough wacky antics to fill a water tower (or at least 10 episodes!). Pinky and Brain’s endless plans to take over the world take them to the ends of new lands, deserts and even the space-time continuum. And while new friends, Starbox and Cindy continue their playdate, the Warner siblings must fight their way out of a video game, learn the secrets of being a teen influencer and escape the island of a mad scientist, all while find time to teach us about the threat of global warming!

The Animations revival brought back the same voiced cast from the original series. This includes Rob Paulsen (Yakko Warner, Pinky, Dr. Scratchansniff), Jess Harnell (Wakko Warner), Tress MacNeille (Dot Warner), Maurice LaMarche (The Brain), and Frank Welker (Ralph T. Guard, Chicken Boo).

But all good things come to an end, and that means an end for Animations. In December, it was reported that the upcoming third season would also serve as the last for the reboot. It was also revealed that certain characters would be returning, while fans will also be introduced to others resurrected from the cutting room.

“Yakko, Wakko, and Dot return for an all-new season of this iconic, family-friendly series featuring something for everyone: pop culture parodies, musical showstoppers, historical villain takedowns, and even some important safety tips,” Hulu’s Season 3 press release states. “Join the Warners and Pinky and the Brain as they wreak havoc everywhere they go, from the Warner Bros. grounds to an international beauty pageant, even all the way to outer space. Keep Starbox and Cindy, season favorites one, watched as well as rejected some Animations characters left on the cutting room floor.”

Animations premieres its third and final season on Hulu on February 17, 2023. The previous two seasons of the revival series are now streaming.
