Aubrey Plaza Recalls NBC Page’s Roots In ‘SNL’ Monologue With Surprises From Joe Biden And Amy Poehler – Deadline

Aubrey Plaza took over Studio 8H at 30 Rockefeller Center to host Saturday night live and relived her past as the NBC Studios side and ran into some familiar faces.

During her monologue, Plaza told the audience that she was from Deleware and was “actually voted most famous person” from that state, ousting President Joe Biden.

“It’s a fact and he was mad, he was angry,” she said.

Plaza said Biden sent her a video saying, “Aubrey, you’re the most famous person from Deleware, and there’s no question about that. We’re just grateful you made it white lotus alive.”

The actress then recalled being a side at 30 Rock during her college years, saying, “I worked with the set design team here SNL — the guys who do all these amazing sets for the show — and I gotta tell you, they win Emmys, they win Tonys, they’re some of the sickest perverts I’ve ever met, and I’m a freak.”

Recalling that as a page she would also give tours of NBC studios, Plaza went on to give a tour of Studio 8H. Two bellboys came on stage and gave Plaza their blazers and told them that they “will be the hosts SNL one day,” and then added, “Yeah, right.”

When giving the tour of the studio, Plaza gave false facts about the facility, saying the studio was built by William Shakespeare in 1599. In one moment, she met Kenan Thompson, who asked her about his Starbucks order he had asked for in 2004.

Plaza then taunted the tourists, who asked them if they would see a celebrity during the tour, and when she went to the set design department, she met them Parks & Recreation co-star Amy Poehler. The crowd went wild and both stars hugged.
