List of nominees for the CMT Music Awards 2023

Country music star Lainey Wilson leads the pack at the 2023 CMT Music Awards with four nominations, followed by Cody Johnson, Kane Brown, who is co-hosting the awards show, and first-time nominee Jelly Roll, who have three. each.

CMT announced Wednesday the full list of nominees for this year’s ceremony, which airs live on CBS and Paramount+ on Sunday, April 2 at 8 pm ET/PT.

With four nominations, Wilson is up for “Female Video of the Year,” “Collaborative Video of the Year,” “CMT Performance of the Year,” and the highly coveted “Video of the Year.”

Carrie Underwood is also in the running for the top prize as she is the most awarded artist in CMT history with a total of 25 wins and is scheduled to perform at the awards show live in Austin, Texas.

Johnson, Brown and Roll are nominated for “Male Video of the Year.” In addition, Roll was nominated for “Breakthrough Male Video of the Year” for her hit “Son Of A Sinner.” Brown and Johnson are among 16 nominees for “Video of the Year.”

In all, there are 21 first-time nominees across all categories. Winners will be selected by fan votes, and may do so by by clicking here.
