Things get a whole lot darker in both timelines in the first trailer for Season 2 of Showtime’s “Yellowjackets,” released Thursday, which also features an unsettling cover of Florence + The Machine’s No Doubt’s “Just a Girl.”
“I’m a huge fan of the ‘Yellowjackets’ and this era of music, and this song in particular had a huge impact on me growing up, so I was asked to interpret it in a ‘deeply disturbing’ way.” ,” Florence Welch said of her 1995 cover of the song. “We tried to add some really scary elements to this iconic song to fit the tone of the show. The trailer (which you can watch above) finds the members of Yellowjacket still trapped in the woods when a cold winter sets in, with plane crash survivors turning on each other: we have There are glimpses of characters including Tit (Jasmin Savoy Brown). ) grabbing axes and running at an unseen enemy, while the camera also captures coach Ben (Steven Kreuger) retreating in terror from an unknown threat.

Before making its on-air debut on Sunday, March 26 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, Season 2 of “Yellowjackets” debuts on-demand and streaming Friday, March 24 for all Showtime subscribers.
Season 1 received seven Emmy nominations and averaged over 5 million weekly viewers across platforms and was the second most streamed series in Showtime history.
