On Friday’s “The Tonight Show,” Jimmy Fallon began his monologue by talking about the biggest thing happening over the weekend, the 2023 Oscars. And Fallon managed to find a glimmer of hope for the nominees who lost on Sunday: Maybe Fox News will give them the Donald Trump treatment.
“10 movies nominated for Best Picture including Top Gun: Maverick, ‘Avatar 2,’ ‘Elvis’ and 7 other movies you lied about seeing,” joked Fallon.
Fallon then noted that Jimmy Kimmel would be hosting the Oscars for the third time this year, and joked that his own father would confuse him and might think it was Fallon.
Fallon said, “That’s right, the Oscars have finally arrived, remember for all the nominees out there, even if you don’t win, Fox News can say you won.”
Next up, Fallon talks about the possibility Congress can ban Tiktok, Using very funny tiktok videos to illustrate my point. Then he moved on to the news that Donald Trump can get into serious legal trouble,
“It looks like former President Donald Trump could be facing criminal charges for secretly paying Stormy Daniels,” Fallon continued. “Trump was like, ‘I’ve never regretted more than 30 seconds in my life.’ Of course Kimmel said this with a pretty spot on Trump impression.
