The long awaited movie shamshera was released on Friday, July 22. Unfortunately, the opening was below expectations. In addition, word of mouth has not been very positive and as a result, the film will have a rough time at the box office. All eyes are therefore on next week’s release, Ek Villain returns. There are different expectations of Mohit Suri directing, although there were different expectations shamshera also. Nevertheless, the young audience can show up in hordes as the film seems to have a great combination of sex and violence.
BREAKING: CBFC Targets Disha Patani’s HOT Intimate Slaughter Table Scene; Rewards Ek Villain Returns U/A Certificate
Expecting a lot Ek Villain returns to get an adult only rating, especially because of Disha Patani’s hot scenes. However, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has awarded the film a U/A certificate. However, the creators had to make two changes, one related to the dialogues and the other related to the visuals.
The CBFC Commission of Inquiry has requested that certain terms such as ‘Mental’, ‘Kuttiya’, ‘B*tch’, ‘Kamina’ and ‘Harami’ be removed or replaced with acceptable terms. Second, the makers were asked to remove or appropriately modify the images of death by a saw blade, images of blood and flesh, and prominent images of mutilated body parts. Even the images of intimacy at the slaughter table, with Disha Patani, which featured prominently in the trailer, have either been cropped or scaled down. On the other hand, only 9 seconds of footage has been chopped by the Censor board.
After these changes were implemented, the CBFC handed over the censorship certificate yesterday, July 22. The duration of the film, as stated in the censorship certificate, is 128.54 minutes. In other words, Ek Villain returns is 2 hours 8 minutes and 54 seconds long. The first part is interesting Ek Villain (2014), which was also directed by Mohit Suri, also had more or less a similar running time of 129 minutes.
In addition to Disha Patani, Ek Villain returns also stars John Abraham, Arjun Kapoor and Tara Sutaria. It will hit theaters on July 29.
