Twice-impeached and now former President Donald Trump made a point to praise a female staffer of Chinese President Xi Jinping during his interview with Tucker Carlson this week, and on Wednesday night, CBS late-night host James Corden just Tired of it.
In the interview on Tuesday, Trump spent considerable time praising Chinese leader Xi Jinping, calling him “a fantastic man” and saying no one could ever capture his “look, brain, whole thing.” Trump then praised Jinping’s translator for some reason.
Trump said, “She had an incredible – I’m not allowed to say that because it’s very rude and politically incorrect – a beautiful female interpreter.”
In watching the clip on Wednesday night’s show, Corden hung his head in his hands in anger.
“I almost forgot. I almost forgot what it was like when Trump was president, you know?” Corden joked. “The guy might start World War III because he gets too sexualized on television.”
When Corden’s head writer Ian Carmel said he seriously thought Trump was actually going to refer to a certain part of Xi Jinping’s body, Corden only became more baffled.
“You didn’t know where this was going to lead! Why does he say that?” Corden said. “He’s actually facing charges related to a relationship with a porn star he claims he had no relationship with, he’s out there talking about how many women are in President Xi Jinping’s office.” Hot!”
