Jordan Klepper mocks RFK Jr.’s anti-vax presidential bid

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is officially running for president in 2024, hoping to unseat President Joe Biden as the Democrats’ nominee. But, considering RFK Jr. to be a staunch opponent, “The Daily Show” guest host Jordan Klepper thinks most of Kennedy’s voting base is “already dead”.

Summing up Thursday night’s headlines, Klepper noted he had a lot he wanted to talk about but didn’t have time to fully dig into, including the explosion of SpaceX’s Starship and RFK Jr.’s newly announced campaign. That said, he made sure to at least get a shot of the latter.

Klepper joked, “If you ask me, it’s pretty bold to build your entire campaign around being anti-vaccine because so many people who might vote for you are already dead.”

Kennedy has long been an outspoken anti-vaxxer, often speaking to Dr. Anthony Fauci attacks. In early 2022, Kennedy also compared COVID safety protocols to Nazi Germany, claiming, “Even in Hitler’s Germany, you could cross the Alps to Switzerland, you could hide in an attic, like Anne Frank was did.”

His words drew widespread criticism, including from his own wife, actress Cheryl Hines.

“My husband’s reference to Anne Frank at the mandate rally in DC was reprehensible and insensitive,” she wrote in a statement on Twitter. “The atrocities suffered by millions of people during the Holocaust should never be compared with anyone or anything. Their opinions are not a reflection of my own.
