Fox News host Jesse Waters is being dragged online for claiming he can tell that a group of people he saw digging through bins in search of recyclables on his way to work are an “illegal” immigration family”.
On the latest episode of Fox News’ roundtable discussion series “The Five,” featuring Waters, Greg Gutfeld, Dana Perino, Jeanine Pirro and rotating hosts Jessica Tarlov, Geraldo Rivera and Harold Ford Jr., the group shared their thoughts on Texas Govt. Greg Abbott’s reported migrant busing plan, As per reports, the destinations include Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Washington, DC and Chicago – all black mayors runAs NYC Mayor Eric Adams pointed out.
“The mayor here, with more resources than any other city in the entire country, complaining about a couple thousand? That’s ridiculous,” Waters said. “Now, I looked on my way to work That an illegal migrant family is digging in the trash looking for recyclables.”
“How do you know they were illegal?” Tarlov hangs up, interrogating Waters.
“You can tell,” Waters retorted.
“Jesse,” said Tarlov, taken aback by Waters’ claim. “I can tell,” Waters said. “I’m a city man, and you don’t want me to get into this, but I can tell.”
It didn’t take long for the clip to go viral, garnering over 550,000 views after a Twitter user reposted it. Video, Loads of views and comments followed.
“Now I see a family looking for money in the trash for food and my first thought was, ‘I bet I can make this a racist segment on my TV show,'” read a tweet from a Twitter user.
“Today I saw someone on Fox News behaving like scum. How do you know they were behaving like scum? you can tell. It was Jesse Watters, read another tweet, Another Twitter user called Waters “sick”.
During their discussion, Waters called Joe Biden central to the issue as it relates to immigrants seeking asylum in the US.
“It’s the saddest thing to see because they haven’t been able to work here. They came to work, but they weren’t able to work here,” Waters said. “And the point is this: You have to be able to choose the people who come into the country based on needs. If you need this type of person, you need these type of persons—get them in. Now People looking for a five cent bottle, that’s not right. You can’t blame a Texas guy for that. Joe Biden is the common denominator.
