As seen in the trailer, Prehistoric planet will feature new dinosaur species, as well as never-before-seen apex predators like T. rex, considered the most powerful predator on land.

Along with the new season, Apple TV+ announced a podcast called “Prehistoric Planet: The Official Podcast,” featuring an in-depth interview with Jon Favreau, the showrunner of the Prehistoric planet documentary. While the first episode of the podcast was released on May 8, subsequent episodes of this four-episode podcast will be released weekly through May 29.

The long awaited second season of Prehistoric planet will premiere on Apple TV+ on May 22, 2023.
