Kelly further attempted to shame Theron for supporting drag performers, “Know what you’re supporting, understand what we’re really looking at out there that may involve raising young children.”

“Even she should be against it, trans kid or not,” Kelly said, referring to Theron’s 10-year-old child, who is a trans girl.

The podcast host said that despite not knowing Theron personally, she felt “some weird connection with this guy because he played me in a movie.”

Sunday’s telethon event, which was streamed online, expressed solidarity for drag queens, trans people and the LGBTQ+ community amid more than 470 bills currently in motion this legislative session that would protect queer communities and trans children across the country. Let’s target.
