Jeff Bridges says his tumor has shrunk to ‘the size of a marble’

Jeff Bridges gives an update on his health in a new interview AARP Magazine that the tumor associated with her lymphoma has shrunk in size and is now just “the size of a marble”.

Bridges, who announced in 2019 that he was battling the disease, last updated fans on 2022, just ahead of the release of the first season of his critically acclaimed FX series “The Old Man.” He was in remission. But at about the same time, he also revealed that he had caught COVID-19 while being treated for his lymphoma, and in his interview with AARP, he acknowledged that it hit him particularly hard.

“A lot of getting better was really a matter of setting small goals. At first they’d say, ‘How long can you last?’ For a while, my record was 45 seconds before I fell,” Bridges told AARP. “And then they were saying: ‘Oh, look, you stand up for a minute! That’s so cool, can you walk 5 feet now?'”

“So at first I said, ‘Okay, we’ll see.’ But eventually it became, ‘Maybe I can.’ I have to admit that I was still dreading going back to work. Then I started thinking about presenting my recovery as a gift,” he also said.

Bridges first announced her diagnosis in October 2019 with a defiantly optimistic statement. “As the Dude would say,” Bridges wrote, referring to his “The Big Lebowski” character, “new s**t has come to light. I’ve been diagnosed with lymphoma. Although it’s a serious illness, I feel lucky.” I have a great team of doctors and the prognosis is good.I am starting treatment and will keep you updated on recovery.
