One of the things we love most about the dark Showtime series “Yellowjackets” is the great ’90s music. Half of the show takes place in 1996, when a high school girls’ soccer team crashes in the woods and half is set 25 years later, with the traumatized adults still alive.
Season 2 features a special track by Florence + the Machine, No Doubt’s “Just a Girl,” Sharon Van Etten’s “Seventeen,” and a funky cover of ’90s feminist icons like Tori Amos.
And of course, we love the spooky main title theme, “No Return” by Craig Vedren and Anna Waronker. opening credits from season 1 Teased a few things we’ll see unfold, and will update Season 2 Credit Sequence Also gives us a hint of what we are going to see in the upcoming episodes.
The series stars Melanie Lynskey, Juliette Lewis, Christina Ricci, Tony Cypress, Lauren Ambrose and Sophie Kessel as the adult Yellowjackets, with Sophie Nellis, Sophie Thatcher, Samantha Hanratty, Jasmine Savoy Brown and Liv Hewson as their teenage counterparts.
