The recent episode of Koffee With Karan 7 marked the debut of Telugu superstar Vijay Deverakonda who attended the show along with his Liger co-star Ananya Panday. Needless to say, host Karan Johar has made some interesting revelations from the stars, be it Vijay’s relationship status or Ananya’s not-so-secret love life. Yet another topic of conversation on the couch was favoritism. Ananya, the daughter of Bollywood actor Chunky Panday, spoke about her father’s career, how he failed and how she was fooled for being a “star” child because many of them didn’t even think her father was that was. a star.

Chunky Panday even though he has made some rather interesting movies and is currently popularly known as ‘Aakhri Pasta’ due to its house full franchise, has seen its share of failures. Speaking about it, Ananya said, “My father did have a lot of failures. My younger sister Rysa and I also witnessed this. That really took its toll on us. But when people keep talking and laughing about it, it sure feels hurt. Then there was a joke that you call her a “star child”, but her father was never even a star! So things like that affect me, especially when it comes to my family.”
The actress insisted she learned to deal with it because she’s proud of her background and thanks her parents for making her what she is today. “I’m here to work and entertain and make people laugh. So if you’re laughing with me or with me, who cares?” she concluded.
As for Vijay Deverakonda, the actor claimed that his hard work made his presence felt in the Telugu industry. And on favoritism, he said he wouldn’t blame anyone for being in a star family. He also added: “The world is never fair to anyone in any field. It is always uneven.”
