‘I Love That For You’ is canceled on Showtime a year after the first season ended

Nearly a year after the first season ended, it was finally confirmed that “I Love That for You” would not be getting a second season on Showtime. The comedy series starring Vanessa Bayer and Molly Shannon has been cancelled, TheWrap has confirmed.

However, the network won’t stand in the way if the show’s producers buy it from other networks or streamers, according to a person with knowledge of the matter.

“I Love That’s For You has completed its run on Showtime. We want to thank Vanessa, Jeremy and Jesse as well as the incredible cast and crew for their hard work,” the network said through a spokesperson. And want to wish them all the best.

In the series, which premiered on May 1, 2022, Byer plays Joanna Gould, a woman who pursues her dream job of being a shopping channel host like her idol Jackie (Shannon), but is forced to tell a big lie. has to resort to – he has cancer – to avoid being fired.
